A container grown tree is one that is harvested from the ground and grown on in a container/pot.

Container grown trees have many advantages including the option of delivery and planting all year round. Bare root and root ball trees can only be planted during the dormant season between November and March. A container grown tree has an excellent fibrous root system and will establish more quickly than bare root and root ball trees.
